The clear septum retainer is hand blown by Glasswear Studios. The 14g is made from fused quartz glass, and 12g is made from borosilicate glass. The 5/16" wearable area is a fairly average size that would fit most people. Gauge tolerance is +-0.1 millimeter. Please note these are glass and can break if forced to bend. Note: We recommend cutting the heat sealed bag with scissors and not tearing it open. The plastic stretches easily and may put stress on smaller glass items.
